Lyon Artbooks provides consulting, manages book projects, and packages and publishes scholarly and trade titles in print and electronic editions. Its focus is on the fine arts, design and architecture, film and video, and performance-related arts. Services include consultation, manuscript development, and representing projects as agent.

Christopher Lyon brings a uniquely broad perspective and depth of experience to Lyon Artbooks.  He has worked as writer and editor in art reference and illustrated trade publishing for more than forty years, including a decade on the staff of The Museum of Modern Art, New York. His past projects range from assembling a multi-volume film encyclopedia and editing numerous exhibition publications to supervising and co-authoring a two-volume history of art in Paris and writing and editing a well-received art monograph, Nancy Spero: The Work (2010). He wrote the “Artful Volumes” column for Bookforum magazine from 2013 to 2016. From 2018 until 2021, he was the catalogue raisonné project director for the Estate of David Smith. He is the editor of David Smith Sculpture: A Catalogue Raisonné, 1932–1965 and contributed an essay to the publication.
